Sansevieria
Sansevieria or usually we call it in Indonesia is Lidah Mertua. Sanseviera have a toughleaf which popular to
decorate the inside of the house because this plant can grow in conditions
little water and sunlight. Sansevieria have a harsh ha leaves, succulent,
erect, with a tapered tip. Originally Sansevieria plants are often considered
unattractive because it only consists of a few leaves only. Being famous and
popular among plant lovers because NASA says the tongue-in-law can absorb 107
types of air pollutants.
Sansevieria
has many advantages like could survive on space time, temperature, and light in
long range, very resistance on pollutant, and able absorb 107 kinds of pollutant
in crowded area and space full with cigarette smoke and could absorb electronic
stuff radiation.
• Sansevieria is a type of plant with the highest absorption rate.
• Treatment plants are cheap
• Always excrete O2 without CO2 produces a substance so that it fits in place inside the room.
• a. Sap: Can be used as an antiseptic
• b. Roots: Can be used as a refresher / hair tonic and cure hemorrhoids
• c. Leaves: If burned to cure headaches,
• When boiled as cure diabetes
o These plants can live with exposure to sunlight and indoors. But if you want to store in the room, do not forget that the plant is dried once a week to keep it fresh.
o Watering only needs to be done 1-2 times a week. Too frequent watering will only make this plant in hinggapi bacteria. When planting also select a planting medium (soil, husk fuel, poor sand and ferns)
o Fertilization tongue-in-law usually use a fertilizer such slow dissociation rate (osmocote, dekastar and megamp)
